I found Big Sky Vacation Rentals to be very professional and always available by phone, text, and email. Big Sky Vacation Rentals always stayed in front communicating check in/out instructions, provided detailed instructions during our stay, and offered concierge services.
The house was fully appointed, comfortable, and spacious. It offers incredible views of the Gallatin and surrounding mountains. The SM Trout Haus also provided more than enough firewood and household supplies.

Amazing location and a great house. Being so close to the river is really incredible, even in the winter.

If you are looking for a beautiful view, the Trout Haus is your spot. Do not be discouraged when you drive up and see eight houses in a row by the river that look the same on the outside. TH sits on the end of the row and is surrounded by mountains and an exquisite view of the Gallatin River. You can hear the river from the porch, the living room and the main floor master. The hot tub on the back porch looks over the river. The house is beautifully furnished. Although actually smaller than it looks in the VRBO photos (especially the kitchen), all the windows and the extra three beds and game room upstairs in the loft made for plenty of room. The house was spotlessly clean. We used the lower level only to sleep but the game room with pool table and TV would be great for cold winter nights! Be aware that houses in Montana for the most part are not air-conditioned--TH came complete with fans to move air when afternoons were in the 80's. I cannot say enough good things about Kirsten's rental service. They allowed us to move our rental a day each way to accommodate better airfare/flights, they responded to our requests for more garbage bags and some additional hair dryers with extreme promptness, and their communications upon arrival and departure was detailed and timely. Highly recommend this company as well as this beautiful property!

Our stay went perfect! The cabin was clean and comfortable. Only 15 minute drive to slopes.

We loved the Trout House. Great location, the mountains out the window, close to everything. Really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. Even watched a moose right outside our window. A highlight! Very comfortable. Lots of room.

We had a 24 person family reunion in Lucky Ewe and Trout House. Big Sky Rentals were wonderful, the homes were just perfect and RIGHT ON THE RIVER. Our family loves Montana and I watched my 13 yr old granddaughter learn to fly fish just a few yards from the deck. We all wanted to stay another week. If I could click my heels, we'd all be there right now.

Our family of 14 (11 adults 3 kids) were completely satisfied with everything about the Trout Haus. The location is perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The pristine location right on the Gallatin River is exceptional. We were able to throw a fishing line in the river without needing to leave the house. The scenic mountains and backdrop are peaceful and relaxing. Nothing better than having morning coffee out on the back deck listening to the river flow. Sitting out on the grass on the riverfront and next to the house with all of our family was enjoyed by everyone. We were able to enjoy Yellowstone in a day trip as the Trout Haus is just 40 minutes away. The house was very clean, well maintained and stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of bedding and bathroom supplies everywhere. The kitchen is very well stocked. We were able to prepare great meals using all the kitchen supplies and appliances. The kids were able to play games up in the loft and have their own fun away from the adults but still close enough that we knew what they were doing and where. This rental is on our list for any potential trips to the Big Sky area.

Pictures did not do this place justice! The Trout Haus was incredible! Right on the Gallatin River, like advertised. Just a few steps out the backdoor! Home was stocked and supplied with all necessary items, as if you were at a resort! Nestled in the perfect location between Yellowstone and Big Sky, you are minutes from everything! This was the perfect mountain getaway. Perfect for off-season/summer trips. The scenery and view was more than the pictures could have shown! We rented the house for a "guys weekend/bachelor party". 7-8 grown men, each having their own bed, and lots of personal space. So much room/space! I have a home in Big Sky on the mountain, and typically visit during snow/ski season. Having already visited the area many times over the years, it would be hard not to choose the Trout Haus, over a mountain home! I would recommend this rental to anyone looking, and will definitely go back in the future!

A group of University of St Thomas (Minnesota) alumni has gone on ski trips for 36 straight years. This was our first trip to Big Sky, and we loved it. Great accommodations in a gorgeous setting and good skiing.

Great trip and place to stay. It is just far enough away that you can enjoy the wild life, fishing, hiking and just 10 to 15 minutes and you are the slopes for downhill. Don't pack to many cooks in the kitchen as it is a narrow galley type but we did not come here for a cook off. Each family member had a dinner night to prepare and server the meal and two of us love to make breakfast. Views are fabulous and we could not get everything in we wanted to do in the 6 full days.

We had a family of 12 stay here comfortably...2 families drove to Big sky from CA and 2 from IL. It was a great place to meet in the middle. We caught trout, used the hot tub, enjoyed the wildlife and the outdoors, and all the stars on the summer nights. We hope to be back someday!! If you like small towns, I recommend this house. Pick the end units (like this house) if possible. They are more private.

So peaceful & private, yet so close to everything. We walked to the Riverhouse Grill. With the loft, it feels like 6 bedrooms. Nice to have the game room separate from the "gaming" room. Wonderful for our big family - everyone has their own space. Can't wait to go back!
