Appropriate for all levels of skiers. Advantage of this location is it funnels directly to the Madison Base Area Ski School, making morning lessons a breeze.
Ski Out:
Ski directly to the Madison base of the Moonlight Basin ski area via a groomed trail directly out your door that links up with the Natawista ski run. Follow Natawista through the tunnel under Peaks View Drive to the Madison base area. Stop at the base area for lessons or continue on Cinnabar to the Derringer lift (beginner area). More advanced skiers/snowboarders can hop on the Six Shooter lift and ride either the Moonlight or Big Sky side of the mountain.
Ski In:
From the top of Ironhorse or Six Shooter lifts, ski down Lazy Jack to the intersection of Cinnabar and Powder River. From here either stay left on Cinnabar or or stay straight on Powder River continuing through the ski tunnel and past the first skier bridge. Take a hard right on Natawista run. Follow Natawista back over the next two skier bridges to the Silvertip Cabins.

Outstanding property, well appointed, great views, easiest ski/out possible, home each day for lunch, two sets of washer/dryers and second refrigerator were useful. Our group was eight men, four couples with eight children would find amazing with game room and second tv room. Staff exceptional, second visit working with Book Big Sky!

We enjoyed the home rental very much. There were 14 of us and the bedrooms were nicely separated to give each other enough privacy and the teenagers their own space. The ski out is very accessible, it was a little tricky getting back because of signage on the mountain but once you figure it out it is great. The only downfall to this rental is that there are only 12 chairs/stools around the island so there was always 2 people in our group that had to sit elsewhere.
