The home had rustic charm while providing all the modern amenities, exactly the kind of place you hope for when vacationing at a ski resort. I am always concerned the photos make spaces look larger than they actually are, but the photos for this home were accurate. The great room feels very spacious and the fireplace is very impressive! We had a great time in Big Sky, skiing was great and had a lot of fun in the mountains. Big Dog Lodge was a terrific house! Very clean, nice amenities, spacious, with great views and ski in and out access. We would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay was delightful at this home. Two families on summer vacation had room and space to spread out, hang out on any of the three decks, or spend great time in conversation and laughs while enjoying the scenic views of Lone Peak Mountain just outside the great room windows.
The location is simply perfect. Walkable route to the base of the resort or to catch a trail for walking and running. Saw wildlife every day from the great room.
We would definitely return and without reservation, recommend to others.

Wonderful house in a beautiful area. We had six adults and eight children from three different families visiting and never felt cramped or bored. House is beautiful with multiple levels to separate adults and children, as well as games, pool table, hot tub, and hiking. Would visit again in a heartbeat.

Our first time visiting Big Sky and the house did not disappoint! We were walking distance to the lake and mountain village which was really nice. Big Sky town center was about 12-15 minute drive down the mountain. The house itself was really large and accommodated our family really well. The kids loved the hot tub and pool table!
My only issue was the statue in the front yard. It would scare me every single time I walked by the windows.

Beautiful space, 5 min drive to mountain village. Great view of lone peak from living room. Ski in ski out requires going down to lift at bottom of low dog rd, and taking ski trail to top of low dog rd. Highly recommend for small and large groups.

We loved it! The view of the mountains is gorgeous! Several moose came up to the den window and in the driveway! The town of Big Sky is South, down the mountain from the house. Big Sky is a very cute town! The 1+ hour drive is long to Yellowstone. But arriving back at night at this Airbnb was wonderful! We used the hot tub and played pool. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms & bathrooms were very nice. What a gorgeous house!

Wow! What a beautiful property!! We absolutely loved our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and the home was lovely and comfortable. We came for Labor Day weekend and the town wasn’t too crowded at all. We’d definitely book here again.

What a wonderful trip! It was my bachelor party and this cabin had more than enough room for all 13 of us! Beautiful cabin, clean space and wonderful amenities. Just a heads up, there is NO A/C (which is common in MT) so if you run hot, just leave the windows open.

This cabin was absolutely perfect. From the second our group arrived until we left. We enjoyed every last minute. In fact, we didn’t want to leave we looked into extending, but unfortunately, the days had already been booked. We would love to stay here again. This house has it all. Our family really enjoyed it. The views are amazing from the living room. Can't say that enough. Hot tub is large. Went with a group of 8 adults and a baby. Each room had a bathroom, which was nice, and the kitchen was well equipped for us to cook...saving a substantial amount of money. The home is in a quiet community, and feels very private while sitting on the porches. Highly recommend this home for a larger group.

We stayed here with a large group, 12 people and a lot of kids. Everyone had ample space and there was a lot to keep everyone busy, from the pool table and Wii to the hot tub and fire pit. The management company provided wood and fire starter as well as heated the hot tub before arrival. Great touches. There is also a small creek in the backyard, we enjoyed hanging out and listening to the running water. Saw multiple elk and deer from our window, and the living room window has an incredible view of lone mountain. Overall great stay, everyone left happy and content.

This was our first visit to Big Sky and we could not have been happier with the house. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable beds. The seating was perfect for our group and the view of the mountain was incredible. We cannot wait to return.

Perfect accommodations for our family. Love the bedrooms on different level. 5 small children loved to ski all day come home and played in the snow until dark. Most meals made at this lovely home with so many amenities. Great hot tub. One of my sons left gloves outside on porch and the next morning found one glove chewed on, and the other one was gone. We were able to see fox at least twice. The ski in, ski out worked well even for the littlest ones. Many beautiful memories made.

Amazing house. Came here for a week long ski trip in January and the snow was mediocre when we first arrived and it was still ski in ski out. you just ski down the snow packed road or the side medians. House is super comfy with an amazing view and all the kitchen amenities you need for when you have the post ski "itis". we slept 9 guys in the place all with their own places to stay. could likely fit more comfortably. I'd rent it again. 30 second drive from base lodge, 2 minute ski to lift.

We had a fantastic family vacation at the Big Dog Lodge! The house is spacious, very well equipped and has beautiful views of Lone Peak. There is a nice walk to the lake and resort area to enjoy all the activities. The management was very responsive to our requests and made sure we had everything we needed. We would gladly stay again! The only item to note is that you can hear the traffic from the road across the street, so it’s not super quiet when out on the deck. There’s quite a bit of construction (and thus large trucks) going on this summer, so that might be the reason.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Our 3 year old grandson said he didn't want to leave and wanted this house to be his house! I rented this home based on the living area spaciousness and views. They did not disappoint. Gorgeous view of lone peak from the living room and we had so much room to lounge. The decks were great(3) views of the treed hillside and creek. Location was a good with proximity to resort and also a short drive to town. We enjoyed the hot tub and everything about the home. One of the hair dryers did not work but there were 3 others available. I think our stay was so enjoyabe because we had such a nice place to come home to. Rent this home with confidence.

Extremely comfortable stay. House is huge well appointed with lots of conveniences. Loved the pool table and luxury hot tub. The owners might want to consider modifying the VRBO listing to indicate that, while it is ski-in, it is not exactly ski-out. There’s sort of a ski-path along the road on the snow bank, but it would require you taking your skis off maybe five times when you cross folks’ driveways. We ended up just walking, and it’s quite a long walk to the trail that takes you to the Thunder Wolf lift—maybe 1/3 of a mile. Also, I had some trouble with the heat in my bedroom, which didn’t cool down below the mid-70s all night, so I ended up leaving the window open all night. But in all these were pretty minor inconveniences. The house really is great.

Our party all very much enjoyed our stay at this dream home that can comfortably house 10+ people with all of their mountain gear. The house itself is very spacious with nice finishes and a kitchen that can easily accomodate cooking meals in. The staff was very friendly and made check In/out very easy. Although the house was both accessible and close to the slopes, the ski in/ ski out is somewhat dependant on the snow pack as you either ski on the road or the snowbanks along it. Not a huge deal but something that you should consider since getting to the mountain otherwise requires a car or walking with gear (~5min). We never really figured out the free shuttle system but if you plan to bounce around a bit, renting a vehicle may make sense. I would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I do a ski trip every year at a different ski resort and always get a nice big house wherever it is. This was without a doubt the nicest house we’ve ever gotten and honestly can’t imagine how it could’ve been any better! The Big Dog Lodge was enormous, absolutely perfect for a large group. We cooked almost every meal at the house and had plenty of plates, cookware, utensils and everything needed to accommodate a large group. The appliances were top notch, they had a very big and nice Weber grill, huge dining room table, and tons of couch seating in the living room. The TV was huge, and the stereo system was fantastic and very easy to use. All of the beds were very comfortable and the showers were great. After a long day on the slopes the hot tub might be the most important thing in the house and the one at this house was the biggest I’ve ever seen, plus it’s literally one step from the door (really nice not to have to walk far through the snow). The pool table and dart board were a really nice bonus too. The ski-in/ski-out access was super convenient, the ski-in part requires going down a blue run but it’s not a very difficult blue (silver knife) and the ski-out access was awesome, down a very easy slope right to the lift (I don’t think the slope was rated but definitely the equivalent of a green run). Overall this house was just amazing, if you’re considering going to Big Sky you should 100% stay at this house. I know my group and I will definitely be back and won’t be thinking twice about where to stay!

We had a large group and the house was just perfect. Good sized rooms and space enough for everyone. The location was great and the views of Lone Peak were fantastic from the living room. It is a short walk to the lift and you are right at the main resort. The teenagers in our group loved the pool table and downstairs game room. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a great house with a great location.
