Adjacent to easily accessible Moonlight Basin ski runs, ski access from your Moonlight Mountain Home is a given and suitable for both snowboarders and skiers. The Moonlight Basin lifts are scheduled open early to mid December with no ski access prior to lift opening.
Ski Out: There are two options. 1. Step out the front door and go to the right. Walk up the snowbank and cat track to Cinnabar down to 6 Shooter and the Madison Base, or groomed trail over bridge to Iron Horse. 2. Step out the front door and go to the left. At the end of the street hop onto Gambler Trail. This will take you onto Powder River trail down to Iron Horse Lift.
Ski In: From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter, take Cinnabar down. You will end up directly in front of the house. You can also head straight to the home from Pony Express lift. Take a right when you get off the chair, cross Powder River trail and stay up high to head under the skier bridge. This will take you directly to the front of the house.
