Only minutes from the Mountain Village and a scenic 45 minute drive from Yellowstone National Park, this chalet is ideally located for summer adventures or winter escapes. Spanning 2,600 square feet, this luxury mountain sanctuary comfortably sleeps eight in beds (ten guests max, including sofa sleeper) and is the ideal choice for groups traveling together.

The elegant Western-inspired interior design and luxe finishes in the living area make for the perfect place to unwind after a fun day on the trails. Relax by the wood burning fireplace or curl up and watch a movie on the flat screen TV. The gourmet kitchen features granite counters, stainless appliances, and all the amenities. Gather at the eight person dining table or simply pull up a chair at the three seat breakfast bar. Sliding doors lead out onto the large wrap around deck, hosting a private hot tub, propane grill, and outdoor seating options.

Ready to rest easy? The Primary King Suite on the main level features a private deck, crackling fireplace, and an ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower and a soaking tub. On the lower level find the Second King Suite boasting an attached ensuite bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Also on the lower level find the Third King Suite with an attached ensuite bathroom with a stand up shower. Head all the way up to the upper level loft hosting a Queen bed and an additional Queen sleeper sofa, the perfect place for the kiddos. Ski Access is king at the Moonlight Mountain Homes, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Access lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.

Ski Out: Step off back deck onto the Gambler ski access. This will take you to the Powder River trail towards the Moonlight Lodge and the Ironhorse lift.

Ski In: From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter lift, follow signs for Powder River. Ski through the concrete tunnel towards the bottom left and bear right onto the Gambler ski access. Follow this access which brings you behind the Moonlight Mountain homes on Indian Summer.

Amazing place with an amazing view! We had a great time and waking up to a view of the mountains was so worth it. We felt like we were up in the mountains while having all the comforts. The beds and bathrooms were great and the hot tub with a view was very relaxing. Things to do and places to eat were close. We went to the local shops and hiked the trails. There was WiFi and tv that worked great and we had great cellphone service. We would stay here again for sure. We arrived late at night due to some travel difficulties, and the lights were on waiting for us. Such a nice touch and made it feel like home. Hosts were great to communicate with and were very responsive and super helpful. If you are traveling to Big Sky, you have to stay here!

We chose the house because it was within walking distance of where other family members were staying. The floor plan is great and slept our crew comfortably. All rooms were well-appointed and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped, and we used the outdoor grill while we were there. The furniture on the deck is wonderful, and we watched many sunrises there. It was quite hot when we were visiting, and I do wish they had had screens on the windows to ventilate easier without letting bugs or critters in. Big Sky Vacation Rentals was responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely stay at this property again.

We had a fabulous stay! The views were breathtaking and the home was just as described. There were some dirty towels left in one bathroom but we didn’t need to use that area so no big deal. I’m sure it was an oversight of the cleaning crew. Highly recommend and will stay again if we travel back to big sky!
