Silvertip Cabins are located in a quiet neighborhood nestled on Moonlight Mountain, in the heart of Moonlight Basin. The perfect mountain retreat, yet only a short drive to the dining and shopping in Mountain Village, Basecamp's Big Sky activities, and Meadow Village. Fantastic ski access, jaw-dropping views, and an idyllic location make Moonlight Mountain Silvertip Cabins a great base to explore Big Sky Country. The Moonlight Club has made the decision to prohibit access to guests of all vacation rental homes. The lounge and other amenities are solely for the use of the member, and guest memberships are no longer offered.

Perched on Moonlight Mountain, Silvertip vacation homes offer effortless ski-in/ski-out access to 5,850 acres of uncrowded slopes! 300 ski runs suited to every level of skier and snowboarder. Silvertip Cabins have direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School making early morning lessons a breeze. The lifts at Moonlight schedule to open early to mid-December with no ski access prior to lift opening.
Ski Out:
Ski directly to the Madison base on the Moonlight Basin side of Big Sky Resort via a groomed trail directly behind your home that links up with the Natawista ski run. Follow Natawista through the tunnel under Peaks View Drive to the Madison base area. Stop at the base area for lessons or continue on Cinnabar to the Derringer lift (beginner area). More advanced skiers/snowboarders can hop on the Six Shooter lift and ride either the Moonlight or Big Sky side of the mountain.

From here either stay left on Cinnabar or or stay straight on Powder River continuing through the ski tunnel and past the first skier bridge. Take a hard right on Natawista run. Follow Natawista back over the next two skier bridges to the Silvertip Cabins that will be on the right.

Great ski in/ski out
We had a great time at this property with our family of 4! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking at home, and the ski out access is right outside the back door on a groomed trail. The trail connects to the Natawista run which takes you to Madison base. Madison base has all you need, and is much smaller than mountain village / less crowded. Mountain village has a lot of restaurant options though. When skiing back to the house, the directions the rental gave were a little unclear and we did a lot of guessing the first day. You will cross over 3 neighborhood bridges and then go to the right after the last bridge to see the group of silver tip cabins. You have to walk a little bit slightly uphill to get back to Silver tip 4. Perfect location on the mountain with amazing views. Moonlight Basin was far enough away from the business of the main village and was ski in/ski out so we didn’t need to worry about parking by a lift. Our first visit to Montana will not be our last!

The place was immaculate, well furnished, very comfortable with a gorgeous view. It had everything we could have wanted and more. Great for families and it worked out well for someone with accessibility needs as the master was on the main level. Absolutely fantastic
We've stayed at several other Cowboy Heaven homes, and this was the best by far. Some of them focus more on the rustic side. This was 100% luxury with a hint of rustic. Everything from beds to fireplace to bathrooms to kitchen was 100% perfect. Ski in/out was great.
