It was super convenient to the plaza and base at Mountain Village - we loved coming home every day for lunch! Looking forward to next year - different location but always love renting from BSVR!

Communication with Big Sky VR exceeded expectation. This was the best run home rental we’ve ever used and all of our experiences renting houses have been great. Yours was just exceptional. The house was VERY well stocked with everything we could need. It was super clean and exactly as pictured. We loved the house for our family. It was spread out nicely with plenty of privacy.

Wonderful Stay
We had a great trip. This home is perfect for two families with the two primary suites and separate bunk rooms. We had ample space and privacy. I know some mention the lack of doors on the one master, but it was a non-issue for us (and curtains provide necessary privacy). The home was very clean, nice linens, and well stocked kitchen. The home provided all the ski amenities, like boot dryers and a drying room. We would absolutely stay again.

Black Eagle condo
This was a lovely condo and we enjoyed staying there. It looks exactly like it looks in the photos. The lower-level bedroom needs to have its heavy drapes that separate it from the rest of the space shut so that it stays warm but this was easy to do. We did have trouble leaving at the 10 am check-out time because someone parked a car outside the garage bay and blocked our car which was in the garage. Management was responsive but didn't know where the car came from and if we hadn't been able to get our car out the other bay we may have been prevented from leaving for a very long time since no driver was in sight.

Family Reunion at Big Sky
Our three adult children, their spouses and three grand children celebrated Christmas and my husbands 79th birthday. It was so fun to ski with each other, share cooking and meals and and precious time. It was an ideal set up for that.

Black Eagle 10 is the closest luxurious condo to the base of the mountain! The condo has a well stocked kitchen, 2 very comfortable king beds, 2 rooms with bunk beds, a loft with a daybed and trundle and a huge hot tub. The glove/boot dryer and the hot room in the garage were wonderful! The ski-in/ski-out via the Poma Lift is so fun! Skiing back via the blue slope Silver Knife is for skiers with some experience. The owners of the condo are amazing to work with. I highly recommend staying in Black Eagle 10--it is perfection! This is our second year in a row staying in Black Eagle 10--we can't wait to return in the future.

I am the organizer of an annual ski trip for 10 to 15 guys and have been doing it for 8 years. I always try to find the nicest condo that sits in the best location. This year I definitely knocked it out of the park. Black Eagle 10 is one of the nicest condos on the mountain. The locals even reassured me that I picked hands down the #1 location in Big Sky. The ski in/out was very accurate. Ski down to the Poma lift and ski back via Silverknife. The main base area is literally 150 yards away if you prefer to walk to a main lift. The condo is very spacious and luxurious. The pictures of the condo are very accurate but in my opinion the condo is nicer than the photos. The condo slept 10 full grown men with no problem at all but I wouldn't want to have 12. It would easily sleep 12 if you have 2 to 4 children. My group likes to cook so we really enjoyed the luxurious and fully stocked kitchen. The fireplace, hot tub, boot dryers and super heated room with a drying rack were hard to beat also. Really, this condo has everything you could ask for. The wifi worked great, we never ran out of hot water and the beds were super comfy. Honestly, if you are looking to have an awesome memorable trip, this place should top your list. What sets Black Eagle 10 apart from competition the most is it's AWESOME owner's. You would have to speak to them yourself to believe how nice they were. Really amazing people! After speaking with them, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. They had an answer for every question and went above and beyond to give me all of the info I needed to make this trip one of our best yet. Seriously!!! I had a lengthy conversation on the phone with Mr. C where he went over the mountain with me as well as the town. He told me where to ski in the morning and where to go in the afternoon. He informed me of all of the best restaurants and told me which ones would require a reservation for a group. They provided me a list grocery stores from the airport to the mountain and told me which ones had the best selection and which ones had the best price. They covered everything! They really are unbelievable people and I will be contacting them again when my group returns to Big Sky. (And by the way, if you haven't skied Big Sky, you should go ahead and buy a plane ticket. What an awesome mountain and the locals are some of the nicest people you will meet.)

The pictures of Black Eagle 10 do not show how spacious the condo really is. Just returned from Big Sky with a group of 19 who rented 3 condo's from Black Eagle complex. Our condo always seemed to be the meeting place for snacks and game watching. Space was never a problem. Wood burning fireplace was amazing in the morning and evenings. Black Eagle is a short walk to the village if you want to eat out. We ate in 4 nights and the kitchen provided us with everything we could have needed. The best thing about Black Eagle 10 is MARY. She is so easy to work with and will answer any questions you might have.

This home was the perfect place for our family during this year's Christmas ski vacation. Amazing location - walked everywhere in Mountain Village, to and from skiing everyday and never got in the car. Beautifully decorated home, with luxurious bed and bath linens, everything was neat and very clean. The seating arrangements in the living, dining, and kitchen bar were plenty and nicely arranged. Kitchen supplies were high end Chefmate pots/pans and bowls. We used the fireplace every night and want to thank the owners for providing the firewood that kept us so cozy. Thoughtful and useful extras like a drying rack/shelf unit for ski clothes, boot and equipment storage in the garage, plenty of hooks throughout the house, and benches everywhere for easy on-off of apparel and equipment. A big thank you to Mary, who also put up a festive Christmas tree and stockings, for making our holiday away seem so homey. We will definitely be back and also for Summertime fun too!

I am only writing this review because Mary was so great- I would like to keep this one to myself. This is by far the best vrbo experience we have ever had. The place is beautiful, spotless, and well laid out. But location, location, location. We stayed in the summer so keep that in mind. You get all the beauty of big sky with all the amenities of the village. Kids walked around by themselves. We paddled the lake, got sandwiches at the hungry moose, bungied, hiked, mined for jewels at the village, did archery, saw deer, took the lift up the mountain, ate dinner outside in the village, all without getting in a car. 10 minutes down mountain at gallantin guides we had fly lessons for the kids and waded. We took a float trip. We rode horses and did the cowboy cookout at cedar mountain corrals at moonlight basin 5 minutes up mountain. We flew into Jackson hole and spent one night in the parks each way to get evening animal sightings in. We saw a grizzly and tons of bison entering park from Yellowstone west and staying at grant. This house is stocked. Buy your basic perishables and drinks. And that's it. Don't waste your time or money on a big shop. The house has every condiment u could ask for and is supplied with enough paper products (down to the Kleenex) to keep u in good shape for a week or at least where u can just grab a roll of paper towels at hungry moose. It was just super easy. There are some great summer events in big sky but we aren't going to tell you our favorite - because we all want this place again. The balcony is huge and private and amazing- you overlook the quiet road into a gulley that deer roam in. You can hear the occasional passer by talk. That's it. This unit is away from construction and has views of the mountain and village - better than the units that look over the garages or are right next to other balcony. Only caveat is downstairs master has a wall of heavy curtains instead of a real wall that leads to glass doors to hot tub. So privacy is slightly compromised but the place is so big we didn't mind. And people knocked on the curtain. Downstairs master has tub and shower and we liked having a tub. These people are honest, timely, conscientious, and communicative. There is no bait and switch. You deal with Mary the whole time. Easy check in and out. It is easy to keep this place clean and organized because of the layout and the fact that everything seems brand new. Someone cares about this house and you can tell.

Our family has vacationed in Big Sky on two occasions and this condo was by far our favorite. We were there with our children and grandchildren and the beautiful, open living area allowed us to enjoy each other even while participating in separate activities. We even had a movie night with a cozy fire! We had so much fun cooking in the gorgeous, gourmet kitchen that it was hard to go into the village to eat. We loved the central location of the condo because we were able to walk to the village, to trails and to the lake. We have wonderful family memories of our stay and hope to visit again. Especially helpful to have faxed grocery list for the week to Albertson's in Bozeman (careful! there are two so be sure to arrive at the store that has filled the order for you) and have it waiting for us to pick up on way to condo from airport. A great condo for our annual ladies ski weekend! We have rented several other Black Eagle Lodges in the past few years and this one is, by far, the best of them all. Especially regarding all the great kitchen amenities, gadgets, etc. We had everything we needed and even things we didn't know we needed to prepare all our culinary creations. We recently rented this beautiful condo for 3 weeks for our skiing holiday. Our total number of guests was 9. The condo surpassed our expectations. We loved having the space to either spend time together in the evening or chill by yourself. Our family of 6 adults had a great time at the condo. The condo was roomy, with comfortable beds and an incredible kitchen and living area. The hot tub was a great way to end each day! The listing and photos are very accurate. Everything we needed was there, and everyone was very impressed with the property. I had numerous email conversations with the owners and they were terrific, especially when it came to providing recommendations for activities and dining. The location made it easy for us to make day trips to Yellowstone and the Tetons. Hiking in the mountains was great (we really enjoyed the Moose Tracks trail), and there are a number of summer activities available, including mountain biking, horseback riding (we went with Jake's Horses) and whitewater rafting (Montana Whitewater) -- both companies were very good. Dining places we enjoyed were Cinnamon Lodge (mexican), Choppers, and the Lone Peak Brewery. I highly recommend the property!

I just returned from the fourth annual ski trip with a great group of friends. We were four parties - five adults and two children. This was by far the best house we've ever rented. I agree with everything Dave wrote in a previous review, so I won't repeat it all. The best parts for me were: 1. the incredibly well furnished kitchen including all the spices and small appliances, 2. the large round dining room table, 3. the bedrooms spread out between all three levels, 4. the comfortable and tasteful living room, and 5. the proximity to the slopes. You really do not need a car at this house at all, though it might make economic sense to use one just to get yourself to and from the airport rather than everyone paying for a shuttle. My family of five met another family of five for a week of incredible skiing this month. Live Like You Mean It Lodge was a wonderful vrbo find. In addition to the spacious accommodations for two families including a combined 6 children, the house was in great shape, very clean, beautifully appointed and was well stocked with everything we needed for a very comfortable vacation. A nice laundry room also earns high marks from this Mama! It was so nice to come in each afternoon, unload our gear in the covered, enclosed garage and unwind in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything on hand to make dining in every meal a breeze. There was enough space to insure that we could spend time with the family we were traveling with--but we could also spread out. You should note that the ski in/ski out would be extremely challenging for beginner skiers, but the walk to the village is 3-5 minutes and not difficult. We used this option daily with our small children. My communication with the owner was pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

I traveled to Big Sky to meet with numerous friends in January, 2011, and having skied around the world was interseted if it could meet my expectations of a great resort. It did, and the accomodations were a big part of my satisfaction. The kitchen allowed us to cook gourmet meals, the bedrooms were appointed wonerfully, with very comfoprtable mattresses, the living room and dining room were spacious and annointed with very comfortable furniture to lounge around in before and after hitting the slopes. The slopes were sufficiently challanging, especially if you like to hike to untouched powder, which I enjoyed repeatedly. Fortunately, it snow a great deal while I was in Big Sky, and some days certain areas were closed for avalanche precautions however, when they reopened, the skiing on those peaks was incredible. Adjacent to Big Sky is Moonlight Basin, which was similarly delightful, and absent of people so if you enjoy skiing directly onto the chair without a wait, both resorts in January are perfect for that experience. The condo was also great, because you could ski out in the morning, in for lunch, out for the afternoon and back in at the end of the day, assuming you chose to forego Apres Ski in the village, which was a hop, skip and jump away. I look forward to returning.

Christmas Vacation - December 18-24, 2010. Two families with 5 teenage boys enjoyed our week at Big Sky. The unit was perfect with three levels, which easily accommodates two families. All the boys enjoyed the upstairs bedrooms and the loft made for a perfect fit. The condo was well stocked in every area - furniture, appliances, kitchen gadgets, office setup, and hot tub towels all great quality too. Also, we enjoyed the spices, coffee filters and other small things in the unit that other renters left. The living area is super spacious even with two families. The ski slopes are accessible via the Poma lift or walking to the village is very easy. Kids loved the Poma lift! We walked to the village every day - great location!! The weather was great with snow almost each day. Highly recommend this vacation rental....we look forward to another trip to Big Sky and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Our family stayed at the magnificent property December 10-16, 2010. We had two married couples, 2 small children, and two single adults. The unit was perfect for our group, as it has three levels, which easily accommodates two families. There are two master suites, one on the main floor and one on the ground floor, which worked perfectly with small ones. The amenities (furnishings and supplies) in the kitchen, baths, hot tub were by far the best we've encountered in our many years of renting directly from owners. The owners, Mary and Charlie have made a big effort to ensure you'll have everything you need for your stay. Additionally, they leave the spices and other small things in the unit that other renters left, which makes it great to have a lot of the little things available that you might not have thought of, or don't want to run out and buy - which is never convenient in a resort. In particular, the kitchen was furnished magnificently with appliances, cookware, and serving pieces, more than enough, and of very high quality. The amount of room available on the main floor allows for plenty of space for your whole group to congregate without being on top of one another - allowing you to spend a lot of quality time together. The ski slopes are accessible via the Poma lift. You can walk or ski down to the lift, which is about 60 yards and ride the lift up to the base area to access the other lifts. The last 20 yards getting to the Poma lift is uphill, and can be a bit of a challenge for novices. Also, you get back to the property via the Poma run, which is off of a medium blue run - so it may not be accessible to beginning or novice skiers. However, if you can't handle the Poma lift/run, you can easily walk up to the base area - less than 5 minutes. All in all, a great trip and a truly great rental unit !!

This property is stunning! Great location. You can walk 5 mins to the village lift or 2 mins to the tow rope to get you started. Property is FULLY ski in. You can ski right into the driveway. Gorgeous furniture and decor. Rental company was superb! Great communication. Cleanliness was on point. The place was sparkling. The couple in that bedroom felt obligated to stay up late so nobody felt bad keeping them up with chatter. Then, when they were tired and went to sleep before others, everyone upstairs had to whisper and couldn't fully enjoy their night knowing they might be disturbing them. We LOVED LOVED LOVED this place!!!!!

A group of 12 of my closest friends and I arrived at the condo for a weekend of spring skiing and it was a great experience from the start. The whole place is well equip with everything you would ever need in a kitchen and in the rest of the house. For skiing, it is easily walk-able up the hill to the base area or down the hill to a T-bar lift. The garage is spacious with boot dryers and plenty of room for ski/snowboard gear. Once the day of skiing was over, there was plenty of space to relax including the hot tub and deck, both locations had a great view of the Lone Peak and the surrounding mountains. All and all, an incredible trip and condo. Next time we are back in Big Sky we will stay here.

Great house, great communication from the owners! Big Sky is a hidden gem as a ski area and this house is a short walk to the slopes two high speed quad lifts. Perfect set up for two families with two master suites and bunk rooms upstairs. The 9 of us fit comfortably without issue. Tremendous common space and fire place that we have missed dearly since we left. I highly recommend if your considering a Big Sky ski vacation!

Black Eagle 10
What a beautiful home! The main living area is so inviting we almost didn't want to leave to ski! We were a multi-generational group of 5 ages 24 to 76 and absolutely loved everything about this house. The kitchen has almost everything you will need to cook. We did buy an aluminum pan for lasagna and was glad that we did. The basics are provided: toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, dishwashing soap (both for hand and the dishwasher), laundry detergent, dryer sheets, great variety of spices, coffee and filters, garbage bags, plastic storage containers, bath soap. Of course the basics available can vary from week to week depending on what the people before you left behind, but you can always count on the toilet paper and tissues. Plenty of towels were available both for the bathroom and the hot tub. The main sitting room was beautiful and the Christmas touches of stockings hanging from the mantel and a small Christmas tree were a nice touch. The main sitting room was beautiful and relaxing - enough seating for 6 or 7 adults in that room. Even lap blankets were provided for cuddling up in! The heated area in the garage for your boots was REALLY nice! There was plenty of firewood available, but you may want to buy a box of kindling to get your fire going. The ski-in/ski-out is functional. The poma lift isn't the easiest thing to do, but if you beg the lift attendant (who was a very uninspired worker!) to help you, it's doable. The house is SO nice and accessible to the mountain, we even ended up coming back to the house for our lunches. Our GMC Yukon XL didn't fit in the garage, but we made out okay leaving it outside. We would have needed the extra space where the wood is stored to get our vehicle in the garage. If you have the time, definitely head down to West Yellowstone to go in to Yellowstone Park in the winter. Part of our group did the snowmobiling and the other part did the snowcoach tour. Both were outstanding! We've been skiing in Colorado (Breckenridge and Winter Park) as well as numerous places in the Northeast and this was by far our favorite place to ski. Wonderful vacation!

We so enjoyed our dual-family Thanksgiving at this gorgeous condo! Everything we could possibly need to make lots of food and drunks in that awesome kitchen! Perfect sleeping spaces and never had a cold shower! The snow came and the fire in the huge fireplace roared all day so peaceful!! Love the huge round dining room table to play lots of games eat together. The hot tub was a big hit with everyone! We talked all week about how we could buy this place for ourselves to enjoy!!

As all the other reviews have stated, this place is spacious and comfortable for a large group. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes, and ample seating to have a large group eat together. There were thoughtful touches everywhere from the towels prepared for the hot tub use, to paper cups and toiletries in the bathrooms. The condo was well maintained and Marcia was helpful with suggestions on shopping and activities in the area. I would definitely put this property at the top of my list for my next trip to Big Sky.

This home was a perfect fit for our family coming together on a vacation. We had plenty of space with two master suites and two bunk rooms. The open floor plan was great for cooking, relaxing & card games later in the evening.

We were out with 11 guys on a father/ son (22-23 yrs old) ski trip. I expected the free standing home to be accommodating, but when we arrived, we were all in awe. The home is so spacious, and decorated and furnished so nicely that you know it is a home and not just a rental property . The large round kitchen table was the perfect place to all gather at dinner and have great conversations about the wonderful day we just spent on the mountain. We cooked most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen, and with the open layout, the chefs and cleanup crew were never out of the conversation. The hot tub got plenty of use, and was always clean and fresh. (I learned from the owner that they drain it and refill it after every rental). The location is perfect. We seldom needed a car. We skied in and skied out - two of our group even snow shoed out and back. It was nice to be able to have beers in the village after skiing and be able to walk home. I am sure the beds were comfortable because I was asleep as soon as I hit the pillow, no matter how many dart or euchre games were still being played. I highly recommend #10 Black Eagle for a group of 2 or 12.

Black Eagle Condos are my favorite properties on the mountain. This particular property has everything our party of nine could hope for. Great location, ski-in, ski-out access, and great amenities. The owner was very responsive my questions and was very flexible on our check in day. One of my favorite features was having the boot rack in the utility room. It was great to always put on warm dry boots!! I know the property just went on the market and I hope the owners are able to sell quickly. If not, I'm sure they will be hearing from our family next year!! One item to fix. We grilled steaks and the electric ignitor on the grill was not working. We just used a match so it was no big deal. Thanks for renting this fantastic property!!

We stayed at this beautiful Black Eagle condo in late February and had a great family ski vacation. The bar was pretty high for us as we own a ski in/ski out condo in New England that we use a majority of the time during the winter months. We weren't disappointed one bit from arrival to departure. Great location, all the amenities, plenty of room for everyone....from the boot dryers in the 2 car heated garage to the hot tub to that very comfortable family room with that stone fireplace. Great memories for our family on this vacation...and the owners even gave us some first timer info on their favorite trails on the mountain. This is a tough one to beat if you are heading to Big Sky.

We rented this condo in February with another family, a total of 7 of us. It was an amazing vacation our family will never forget. The condo was an easy walk to the base lodge and lifts. It was close to everything, yet quiet and private. With two master bedrooms and a bunk area, we all fit comfortably with room to spare. The furnishings were beautiful and every amenity provided. At the end of a busy day of skiing, snowmobiling or dog sledding, we relaxed in the hot tub, with an amazing view of the mountains. Highly recommend.

Our family takes a summer roadtrip with my brothers family and my mother. We choose a different place each year. We decided to go away from the ocean this year and found Big Sky. The condo was exceptional. It fit our needs perfectly. Number of rooms, layout, and main floor gathering area. Close to slopes for hiking and mountain biking. Close to trails, Yellowstone, and tons of activities. If your looking for a quiet time to go, this is it. We were 1 of 4 families in the condo area. I would recommend to all.

This was a great experience for our family group of 8 - a great town home in a perfect location, very well equipped, easy access to slopes, walking distance to restaurants and shops. We are two parents, 3 grown/college kids plus 1 boyfriend and 2 teenage kids and this was perfect accommodation for us, very comfortable and well arranged over 3 floors so everyone had the space and privacy they needed. The owners were so helpful in giving us advice before we arrived. This was our first trip to Big Sky (having visited Steamboat, Winter Park, Breckbridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, Snowmass, Aspen, Deer Park, Park City, Telluride, Crested Butte and a number of resorts in the NE) - and despite some skimpy snow conditions - we LOVED it. We will be back!!

Beautiful, new, great location!
This property is stunning! Great location. You can walk 5 mins to the village lift or 2 mins to the tow rope to get you started. Property is FULLY ski in. You can ski right into the driveway. Gorgeous furniture and decor. Rental company was superb! Great communication. Cleanliness was on point. The place was sparkling. Our only gripe is the fact that the basement master bedroom has NO door. It’s open to the entire house. It’s also the only way for the entire house to gain access to the hot tub. We went with a mixed group of adults in their late 30’s/early 40’s. Naturally, everyone retires for bed at various times which is why this design should be mentioned in BOLD in the description. The couple in that bedroom felt obligated to stay up late so nobody felt bad keeping them up with chatter. Then, when they were tired and went to sleep before others, everyone upstairs had to whisper and couldn’t fully enjoy their night knowing they might be disturbing them. It’s just a bizarre design for a house that’s only 3 years old. When you book a place with 2 master en-suite bedrooms, it goes without saying that they have doors. However, NOT the case here. Also, the other master is RIGHT off the living room and kitchen. If this is a group trip, definitely better suited for early risers and no night owls. Other than the missing door, we LOVED LOVED LOVED this place!!!!!

Ideal Condo in Ideal Location
A group of 12 of my closest friends and I arrived at the condo for a weekend of spring skiing and it was a great experience from the start. The whole place is well equip with everything you would ever need in a kitchen and in the rest of the house. For skiing, it is easily walk-able up the hill to the base area or down the hill to a T-bar lift. The garage is spacious with boot dryers and plenty of room for ski/snowboard gear. Once the day of skiing was over, there was plenty of space to relax including the hot tub and deck, both locations had a great view of the Lone Peak and the surrounding mountains. All and all, an incredible trip and condo. Next time we are back in Big Sky we will stay here.

Great house, great communication from the owners! Big Sky is a hidden gem as a ski area and this house is a short walk to the slopes two high speed quad lifts. Perfect set up for two families with two master suites and bunk rooms upstairs. The 9 of us fit comfortably without issue. Perfection!
Black Eagle 10 is the closest luxurious condo to the base of the mountain! The condo has a well stocked kitchen, 2 very comfortable king beds, 2 rooms with bunk beds, a loft with a daybed and trundle and a huge hot tub. The glove/boot dryer and the hot room in the garage were wonderful! The ski-in/ski-out via the Poma Lift is so fun! Skiing back via the blue slope Silver Knife is for skiers with some experience. The owners of the condo are amazing to work with. I highly recommend staying in Black Eagle 10--it is perfection! This is our second year in a row staying in Black Eagle 10--we can't wait to return in the future.

Beautiful Condo and Best Location in Big Sky!!!
I am the organizer of an annual ski trip for 10 to 15 guys and have been doing it for 8 years. I always try to find the nicest condo that sits in the best location. This year I definitely knocked it out of the park. Black Eagle 10 is one of the nicest condos on the mountain. The locals even reassured me that I picked hands down the #1 location in Big Sky. The ski in/out was very accurate. Ski down to the Poma lift and ski back via Silverknife. The main base area is literally 150 yards away if you prefer to walk to a main lift. The condo is very spacious and luxurious. The pictures of the condo are very accurate but in my opinion the condo is nicer than the photos. The condo slept 10 full grown men with no problem at all but I wouldn't want to have 12. It would easily sleep 12 if you have 2 to 4 children. My group likes to cook so we really enjoyed the luxurious and fully stocked kitchen. The fireplace, hot tub, boot dryers and super heated room with a drying rack were hard to beat also. Really, this condo has everything you could ask for. The wifi worked great, we never ran out of hot water and the beds were super comfy. Honestly, if you are looking to have an awesome memorable trip, this place should top your list. What sets Black Eagle 10 apart from competition the most is it's AWESOME owner's. You would have to speak to them yourself to believe how nice they were. Really amazing people! After speaking with them, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. They had an answer for every question and went above and beyond to give me all of the info I needed to make this trip one of our best yet. Seriously!!! I had a lengthy conversation on the phone with Mr. C where he went over the mountain with me as well as the town. He told me where to ski in the morning and where to go in the afternoon. He informed me of all of the best restaurants and told me which ones would require a reservation for a group. They provided me a list grocery stores from the airport to the mountain and told me which ones had the best selection and which ones had the best price. They covered everything! They really are unbelievable people and I will be contacting them again when my group returns to Big Sky. (And by the way, if you haven't skied Big Sky, you should go ahead and buy a plane ticket. What an awesome mountain and the locals are some of the nicest people you will meet.)

Spacious Condo
The pictures of Black Eagle 10 do not show how spacious the condo really is. Just returned from Big Sky with a group of 19 who rented 3 condo's from Black Eagle complex. Our condo always seemed to be the meeting place for snacks and game watching. Space was never a problem. Wood burning fireplace was amazing in the morning and evenings. Black Eagle is a short walk to the village if you want to eat out. We ate in 4 nights and the kitchen provided us with everything we could have needed. The best thing about Black Eagle 10 is MARY. She is so easy to work with and will answer any questions you might have.

Amazing Place!
This home was the perfect place for our family during this year's Christmas ski vacation. Amazing location - walked everywhere in Mountain Village, to and from skiing everyday and never got in the car. Beautifully decorated home, with luxurious bed and bath linens, everything was neat and very clean. The seating arrangements in the living, dining, and kitchen bar were plenty and nicely arranged. Kitchen supplies were high end Chefmate pots/pans and bowls. We used the fireplace every night and want to thank the owners for providing the firewood that kept us so cozy. Thoughtful and useful extras like a drying rack/shelf unit for ski clothes, boot and equipment storage in the garage, plenty of hooks throughout the house, and benches everywhere for easy on-off of apparel and equipment. A big thank you to Mary, who also put up a festive Christmas tree and stockings, for making our holiday away seem so homey. We will definitely be back and also for Summertime fun too!

Happy Family
Our family has vacationed in Big Sky on two occasions and this condo was by far our favorite. We were there with our children and grandchildren and the beautiful, open living area allowed us to enjoy each other even while participating in separate activities. We even had a movie night with a cozy fire! We had so much fun cooking in the gorgeous, gourmet kitchen that it was hard to go into the village to eat. Hate to give this secret away.
I am only writing this review because Mary was so great- I would like to keep this one to myself. This is by far the best vrbo experience we have ever had. The place is beautiful, spotless, and well laid out. But location, location, location. We stayed in the summer so keep that in mind. You get all the beauty of big sky with all the amenities of the village. Kids walked around by themselves. We paddled the lake, got sandwiches at the hungry moose, bungied, hiked, mined for jewels at the village, did archery, saw deer, took the lift up the mountain, ate dinner outside in the village, all without getting in a car. 10 minutes down mountain at gallantin guides we had fly lessons for the kids and waded. We took a float trip. We rode horses and did the cowboy cookout at cedar mountain corrals at moonlight basin 5 minutes up mountain. We flew into Jackson hole and spent one night in the parks each way to get evening animal sightings in. We saw a grizzly and tons of bison entering park from Yellowstone west and staying at grant. This house is stocked. Buy your basic perishables and drinks. And that's it. Don't waste your time or money on a big shop. The house has every condiment u could ask for and is supplied with enough paper products (down to the Kleenex) to keep u in good shape for a week or at least where u can just grab a roll of paper towels at hungry moose. It was just super easy. There are some great summer events in big sky but we aren't going to tell you our favorite - because we all want this place again. The balcony is huge and private and amazing- you overlook the quiet road into a gulley that deer roam in. You can hear the occasional passer by talk. That's it. This unit is away from construction and has views of the mountain and village - better than the units that look over the garages or are right next to other balcony. Only caveat is downstairs master has a wall of heavy curtains instead of a real wall that leads to glass doors to hot tub. So privacy is slightly compromised but the place is so big we didn't mind. And people "knocked" on the curtain. Downstairs master has tub and shower and we liked having a tub. These people are honest, timely, conscientious, and communicative. There is no bait and switch. You deal with Mary the whole time. Easy check in and out. It is easy to keep this place clean and organized because of the layout and the fact that everything seems brand new. Someone cares about this house and you can tell.

Just returned from a great trip to Big Sky with family and friends. We stayed at Black Eagle and both the skiing and condo were unbelievable. The condo is ski in ski out and very comfortable for a family of four + four friends. A very well maintained property that exceeded our expectations. All you could want for a large group
The condo is very spacious, exerything is in top condition and beautifully decorated. LOVED the well-equipped kitchen since I was one of the two cooks who prepared 3 meals a day for 10 hungry people! Especially helpful to have faxed grocery list for the week to Albertson's in Bozeman (careful! there are two so be sure to arrive at the store that has filled the order for you) and have it waiting for us to pick up on way to condo from airport. Fantastic Ski Rental!
A great condo for our annual ladies ski weekend! We have rented several other Black Eagle Lodges in the past few years and this one is, by far, the best of them all. Especially regarding all the great kitchen amenities, gadgets, etc. We had everything we needed and even things we didn't know we needed to prepare all our culinary creations. Beautiful big sky
We recently rented this beautiful condo for 3 weeks for our skiing holiday. Our total number of guests was 9. The condo surpassed our expectations. We loved having the space to either spend time together in the evening or chill by yourself. A Great Summer Vacation
Our family of 6 adults had a great time at the condo. The condo was roomy, with comfortable beds and an incredible kitchen and living area. The hot tub was a great way to end each day! The listing and photos are very accurate. Everything we needed was there, and everyone was very impressed with the property. I had numerous email conversations with the owners and they were terrific, especially when it came to providing recommendations for activities and dining. The location made it easy for us to make day trips to Yellowstone and the Tetons. Hiking in the mountains was great (we really enjoyed the Moose Tracks trail), and there are a number of summer activities available, including mountain biking, horseback riding (we went with Jake's Horses) and whitewater rafting (Montana Whitewater) -- both companies were very good. Dining places we enjoyed were Cinnamon Lodge (mexican), Choppers, and the Lone Peak Brewery. I highly recommend the property!

Amazing ski condo
I traveled to Big Sky to meet with numerous friends in January, 2011, and having skied around the world was interseted if it could meet my expectations of a great resort. It did, and the accomodations were a big part of my satisfaction. The kitchen allowed us to cook gourmet meals, the bedrooms were appointed wonerfully, with very comfoprtable mattresses, the living room and dining room were spacious and annointed with very comfortable furniture to lounge around in before and after hitting the slopes. The slopes were sufficiently challanging, especially if you like to hike to untouched powder, which I enjoyed repeatedly. Fortunately, it snow a great deal while I was in Big Sky, and some days certain areas were closed for avalanche precautions; however, when they reopened, the skiing on those peaks was incredible. Adjacent to Big Sky is Moonlight Basin, which was similarly delightful, and absent of people so if you enjoy skiing directly onto the chair without a wait, both resorts in January are perfect for that experience. The condo was also great, because you could ski out in the morning, in for lunch, out for the afternoon and back in at the end of the day, assuming you chose to forego Apres Ski in the village, which was a hop, skip and jump away. I look forward to returning.

The Best Ski House Yet
I just returned from the fourth annual ski trip with a great group of friends. We were four parties - five adults and two children. This was by far the best house we've ever rented. I agree with everything Dave wrote in a previous review, so I won't repeat it all. The best parts for me were: 1. the incredibly well furnished kitchen including all the spices and small appliances, 2. the large round dining room table, 3. the bedrooms spread out between all three levels, 4. the comfortable and tasteful living room, and 5. the proximity to the slopes. You really do not need a car at this house at all, though it might make economic sense to use one just to get yourself to and from the airport rather than everyone paying for a shuttle. Thanks for making such a great home available to us!

Extremely comfortable for two large families!
My family of five met another family of five for a week of incredible skiing this month. Live Like You Mean It Lodge was a wonderful vrbo find. In addition to the spacious accommodations for two families including a combined 6 children, the house was in great shape, very clean, beautifully appointed and was well stocked with everything we needed for a very comfortable vacation. A nice laundry room also earns high marks from this Mama! It was so nice to come in each afternoon, unload our gear in the covered, enclosed garage and unwind in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything on hand to make dining in every meal a breeze. There was enough space to insure that we could spend time with the family we were traveling with--but we could also spread out. You should note that the ski in/ski out would be extremely challenging for beginner skiers, but the walk to the village is 3-5 minutes and not difficult. We used this option daily with our small children. My communication with the owner was pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

Christmas in Big Sky
Christmas Vacation - December 18-24, 2010 Two families with 5 teenage boys enjoyed our week at Big Sky. The unit was perfect with three levels, which easily accommodates two families. All the boys enjoyed the upstairs bedrooms and the loft made for a perfect fit. The condo was well stocked in every area - furniture, appliances, kitchen gadgets, office setup, and hot tub towels all great quality too. Also, we enjoyed the spices, coffee filters and other small things in the unit that other renters left. The living area is super spacious even with two families. The ski slopes are accessible via the Poma lift or walking to the village is very easy. Kids loved the Poma lift! We walked to the village every day - great location!! The weather was great with snow almost each day. Highly recommend this vacation rental....we look forward to another trip to Big Sky and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Our family stayed at the magnificent property December 10-16, 2010. We had two married couples, 2 small children, and two single adults. The unit was perfect for our group, as it has three levels, which easily accommodates two families. There are two master suites, one on the main floor and one on the ground floor, which worked perfectly with small ones. The amenities (furnishings and supplies) in the kitchen, baths, hot tub were by far the best we've encountered in our many years of renting directly from owners. The owners, Mary and Charlie have made a big effort to ensure you'll have everything you need for your stay. Additionally, they leave the spices and other small things in the unit that other renters left, which makes it great to have a lot of the little things available that you might not have thought of, or don't want to run out and buy - which is never convenient in a resort. In particular, the kitchen was furnished magnificently with appliances, cookware, and serving pieces, more than enough, and of very high quality. T he amount of room available on the main floor allows for plenty of space for your whole group to congregate without being on top of one another - allowing you to spend a lot of quality time together. The ski slopes are accessible via the Poma lift. You can walk or ski down to the lift, which is about 60 yards and ride the lift up to the base area to access the other lifts. The last 20 yards getting to the Poma lift is uphill, and can be a bit of a challenge for novices. Also, you get back to the property via the Poma run, which is off of a medium blue run - so it may not be accessible to beginning or novice skiers. However, if you can't handle the Poma lift/run, you can easily walk up to the base area - less than 5 minutes. All in all, a great trip and a truly great rental unit !!
