Beautiful and spacious house! Good location however not actually ski in/ski out unless there is enough snow and even then I suspect hard to get to for green and even some blue riders. The hot tub has an awkard placement next to the neighbors front walk from their vehicle to door, no privacy fence for the hot tub. The driveway was not big enough for more than 2 vehicles however the garage will fit a pickup truck. The couches were comfy, the kitchen was well stoked with dishes and cooking supplies, and host good communication.

Property: We had a terrific experience at Big Sky - ten friends on our annual ski trip. The house is beautiful, well-equipped, very attentive property managers, easy to ski-in (with a little bit of poling if you don't keep your speed up) and extremely easy to ski-out. If you're planning on renting a car, be sure it's 4WD/AWD. This house is up the hill a bit and a regular car with rear wheel drive will be an issue if it snows!

This home was a fantastic choice for me and my family. We had a group of 12 family and friends for our annual ski week and this home was our best in the 20+ years we've been skiing together. The owners have thought of everything and have appointed the home with a keen eye to detail. We had groceries delivered from the Hungry Moose (an excellent suggestion from the property managers) and took most of our meals in the home. We lacked for nothing in the kitchen -- there's even a beer fridge in the basement. This house was a great value for our money. The management company bent over backwards to be supportive and the home simply couldn't be more comfortable, right down to the convenient, easy-to-light fire starters and ample supply of split firewood for the fire place. For large groups, the home is so well insulated that a hearty discussion in the den can't be heard by those trying to sleep in the bedrooms. Great place.

My family of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) stayed at Powder Ridge Rosebud 13, and we had the BEST time!! The cabin was beautiful, spacious, clean and stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to shower needs. Everyone had their own bedroom (2 couples and 2 singles), and the 2 kids shared the room with queen bunk beds. Having 4 full bathrooms was really nice for everyone getting ready in the mornings. The location was also really nice for sledding!! The kids went sledding EVERY day, and it was so nice to know they could sled in a safe area close to the house. It was also a very short drive down to the base of the ski resort. All-in-all, my family LOVED this cabin, and we would love to stay here again, if we return to Big Sky!

Had fantastic snow (13 !) and made the most of Powder 126. Three families (12 people) easily shared the space, and we entertained another family for dinner to boot! We've rented a bunch of houses via VRBO, and I must say this one had a kitchen more fully stocked than any other we've seen it seemed every I wonder if they have a... ended up with a positive find. The house was convenient enough that we trekked home for lunch each day, and everyone could hang up their skis for the day when they were ready: no trying to coordinate meeting/rides at the base. The rental company was great, met us at the house and made sure we were settled in and could find things -- nice touch.

Wow! That was everyone in our group of 11 reaction once we arrived at our cabin. Our group goes skiing a new place every year and this is by far the best accommodations we have ever had for a ski trip. The cabin is truly ski in/ski out. We had a few very beginner skiers in our group that had no trouble getting to or from the cabin. The snowboarders in our group are very good and they had no problem getting in or out of the cabin either. As far as the cabin its self we could not have been more satisfied. The bedrooms were very large and the bathrooms were very nice and had shampoo, conditioner, & body wash dispensers in each shower. Each bedroom had a small fan and a humidifier that really came in handy. The kitchen was fully stocked. The private hot tub was amazing. After clearing out a little snow we had a beautiful view of the mountains each afternoon while relaxing after a long day of skiing. Big Sky Vacation Rentals (bookbigsky.com) was great to work with. We order groceries from The Hungry Moose and they worked with BSVR to ensure they were delivered before our arrival. Upon arrival a representative from BSVR met us at the cabin and went over everything about the cabin and answered all our questions. This was by far the big ski trip we have ever taken and the cabin was a large part of it. We really could not have been any happier and we'll probably be back next year.

I got back from Montana late last night and what a fantastic week we had!! The snow was fantastic all week. The fresh 10 inches Sunday night made Monday one of my best days skiing ever! We got another 5 inches or so Tuesday night. Loved Dakota Bowl and we spent a lot of time on the Challenger lift area. We skied one day at Moonlight Basin which was also very nice. There was so much snow on the mountain (and the cold kept it light) that the conditions were really excellent all week. The scenery was fantastic. Amazing mountain panaromas - truly majestic. The house was perfect! The 10 of us had plenty of room to spread out, to eat together, and to relax. The hot tub saved my aging back and the iPod speaker system came in very handy. The kitchen was great " we went out for dinner once (Blue Moon Bakery had excellent pizza) but cooked in every other night (shop in Bozeman on the way in). We used the fire place a lot "very pleasant. We enjoyed the movie selection in the main room. It was such a treat to be able to enjoy the mornings, then simply step outside and put on our skies and away! We came home for lunch some days and ate in the café a few times too. Yeti Dogs was a big hit with the teenagers. In the afternoons after that last turn we just step out of our skiies, set them against the wall and stepped into the house! It was wonderfully convenient! Everyone had a great time honestly one of the best vacations any of us has had in a long time.

Just home from a glorious 3 nights at your marvelous cabin at Big Sky. We truly got attached - what a special, special place you have. We own a log and timber frame business and had a real appreciation for the structure and beauty of your home. LOVED the floor plan, which made it so easy for all of us to have individual space yet come together for dinner and evenings by the fireplace. The interior decorating, I simply adored - comfy yet classy and made you feel right at home. We particularly appreciated how clean and put together it all was. To top it off, the convenience of the ski in/ ski out can not be surpassed. Thank you so very much for allowing us this opportunity and for providing such a welcoming and comfortable setting for our mini-vacation. We will be looking for an excuse to come back.

. . . to ski on my Favorite Trail in the World: Shedhorn (and the many other great Big Sky / Moonlight Basin ski experiences) !!! We have had a couple of tremendous trips to Big Sky! A very big part of both trips has been our stay at this B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L private home. Location: Awesome - Cross the carport, snap on your skis and drop in right into the neighborhood chairlift that gets you in the Heart of it All! Home: Tremendous - Very well thought out floor-plan with luxury appointments throughout. Absorbs families / up to four couples EASILY. Favorites include the post ski hot tub after the tremendous evening fun in the Great Room. (What it the name of that huge Moose head above the fireplace!?!) Love Big Sky. Great place to experience it from. We hope to be back real soon!

We came once to this house 4 years ago and have been back every year. Great location to ski in ski out. Comfortable and spacious rooms with great bathrooms. Enjoy great vista views from the deck and hot tub areas of nearby spanish peaks. The property is well maintained and clean every time we come. Great location for summer, fall and winter fun. The house is close to all outdoor activities and town, but still remote enough to feel like you are away from it all.

My fiance and I stayed at this cabin during the summer of 2009. This was my favorite vacation ever. It's hard to describe the best part. The Big Sky area where this cabin is located is simply beautiful beyond description. The cabin was phenomenal as well. It was well maintained with all the amenities you could ask for. Everything in it seemed in near pristine condition. Hot tub in the evenings after hiking all day was a real plus! My only complaint was leaving the place. I would love to go back the first chance we get. I highly recommend this cabin and vacationing in Big Sky.

My family and 2 other families stayed in this beautiful home with a spectacular view. The house itself was amazing and spacious. It was very clean and the sleeping arrangements for 12 were more then comfortable. The beds were huge. The place is nicer than the photos depict. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, spices for cooking. The kids were able to play games downstairs while the adults were on the main floor enjoying each others company. We loved going to the hot tub after a long day of skiing and enjoying a cocktail. The location was great. We were able to ski in and out with our kids. We also enjoyed eating at Milkies Pizza, The corrall and Bucks T4. We also went to Yellow Stone for an easy day trip where we snow shoed around. You have to have a 4 wheel drive car/truck for all of Big Sky in the winter. We had a few questions for the owner and they got right back to us. I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends. Thank you for your hospitality. I hope to be back soon!

Property: Great Clean Cabin in Big Sky area - great management and service- We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin 126 in Powder Ridge resort at Big Sky. The area is awesome the views are spectacular. We were there in July - I think it would be even more beautiful in the winter. While the cabin is outfitted for Snow/Ski adventure, the summer rental worked for us. We enjoyed most of the amenities. The staff and management were very friendly we did not find any issues with their service. The cabin was clean and comfortable.We were there for Yellowstone adventures (as most do in the summer months), this property is a good 1 hour 15 minutes from the west entrance of the Yellowstone Park. Unless you are willing to drive more than 3-4 hours per day while visiting the Yellowstone Park, this is not the best location for Yellowstone. That said, there is plenty to do in Big Sky - we ended up spending two days in the Bigsky area as the driving everyday to the park and back was too much. All in all, a great management, great service, great property.

The other reviews are accurate. An amazing property. It is not isolated but we never saw any neighbors either. The houses are situated for privacy. I really enjoyed the wrap-around deck. Coffee in the morning sun on one side, snacks in the evening sun on the other. Or reverse for shade. :)

If you don't be mind being close to other cabins and feel that the 10 minute jaunt down to the Village is worth the truly beautiful view, then this is the place for you! Three true master bedrooms with private baths and a terrific split-level floor plan with two living areas. Well stocked kitchen! Parking only accommodates two vehicles, so plan accordingly! Overall, we enjoyed the house itself a lot.

Due to COVID we really wanted a place we could feel like at home. We really enjoyed using the grill and hot tub as well as stargazing am enjoying coffee or wine at the deck! The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms really had everything we needed and plenty of it. The kids really enjoyed hanging out in the game room and we all enjoyed family movie nights ! Trips to the store and or resort were very close. The decor was perfect! I loved the headboards in the bed rooms and the kids loved the doble size bunk beds ! The place was everything we wanted ...only wish Yellowstone was a little closer but I was perfect to come "home" and unwind !

Property Manager: Everyone was friendly and helpful and accommodating. Property: Cabin was great! The instructions for ski-in and ski-out could not have been better. We enjoyed the hot tub, and there was plenty of room for our group of 11 adults to spread out.

Amazing views, everything you needed, great for families
Due to COVID we really wanted a place we could feel like at home. We really enjoyed using the grill and hot tub as well as stargazing am enjoying coffee or wine at the deck! The kitchen, laundry and bathrooms really had everything we needed and plenty of it. The kids really enjoyed hanging out in the game room and we all enjoyed family movie nights ! Trips to the store and or resort were very close. The decor was perfect! I loved the headboards in the bed rooms and the kids loved the doble size bunk beds ! The place was everything we wanted ...only wish Yellowstone was a little closer but I was perfect to come “home” and unwind ! Only tip would be to have more plastic tupper ware. We packed our coolers with pic nic stuff and more of these would had been useful for day trips !

Very Nice
We had a terrific experience at Big Sky - ten friends on our annual ski trip. The house is beautiful, well-equipped, very attentive property managers, easy to ski-in (with a little bit of poling if you don't keep your speed up) and extremely easy to ski-out. If you're planning on renting a car, be sure it's 4WD/AWD. This house is up the hill a bit and a regular car with rear wheel drive will be an issue if it snows!

Excellent.
The other reviews are accurate. An amazing property. It is not isolated but we never saw any neighbors either. The houses are situated for privacy. I really enjoyed the wrap-around deck. Coffee in the morning sun on one side, snacks in the evening sun on the other. Or reverse for shade. :)

We loved that everything was clean and ready upon arrival. It met every need we had. The only 2 issues were that the hot tub only fits 4 people and that there wasn't enough seating for everyone to be in the main room.

Amazing location and service

Fantastic home, minor issues
This home was a fantastic choice for me and my family. We had a group of 12 family and friends for our annual ski week and this home was our best in the 20+ years we've been skiing together. The owners have thought of everything and have appointed the home with a keen eye to detail. We had groceries delivered from the Hungry Moose (an excellent suggestion from the property managers) and took most of our meals in the home. We lacked for nothing in the kitchen -- there's even a beer fridge in the basement. This house was a great value for our money. Two minor detractions: the next door neighbor shares a driveway with the home and that neighbor is an obnoxious jerk. He apparently complains about every renter to the management company, even forcing one poor woman to come to the house late one evening to have us remove cars from the driveway when local friends came to visit. Be prepared to be harassed. The other issue is the ski in, ski out paths, while easy to ski once identified, are not well-marked. Some turn-by-turn directions in the home's info binder would be a great help. Again, minor quibbles. The management company bent over backwards to be supportive and the home simply couldn't be more comfortable, right down to the convenient, easy-to-light fire starters and ample supply of split firewood for the fire place. For large groups, the home is so well insulated that a hearty discussion in the den can't be heard by those trying to sleep in the bedrooms. Great place.

Peter, Thank you so much for your kind words about the home and our services! We try very hard to keep our properties up to date, well equipped and best of all, immaculately clean! Glad you liked the fridge in the basement too! Makes getting a beverage to take to the hot tub, very convenient. My sincere apologies with regard to the inconvenience with the driveway. The Powder Ridge association has a 2 car maximum per cabin so occasionally we have to keep extras on the street or in the free skier parking lot. Fortunately the neighbor is only occasionally present (not their full time residence) and they are fine as long as we abide to the two car maximum and stay out of the shared driveway, but they do get upset if we allow cars to be parked in the driveway. We should have been more clear on what to do with extra vehicles when we checked you into the property! I am so sorry we had to bother you over this. Good news on the ski-in/out. We are working on videos for guests in addition to the map in the binder and the interactive map on our website. This should make it easier for our staff who are not avid skiers to be able to provide better and more detailed instructions for the first trip back to the home. Again, many thanks for staying with us and we are so glad you found the supplies to be useful and convenient and our staff to be helpful and friendly. Beautiful and Comfortable
My family of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) stayed at Powder Ridge Rosebud 13, and we had the BEST time!! The cabin was beautiful, spacious, clean and stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to shower needs. Everyone had their own bedroom (2 couples and 2 singles), and the 2 kids shared the room with queen bunk beds. Having 4 full bathrooms was really nice for everyone getting ready in the mornings. The location was also really nice for sledding!! The kids went sledding EVERY day, and it was so nice to know they could sled in a safe area close to the house. It was also a very short drive down to the base of the ski resort. We were told this cabin was "ski in, ski out" but we couldn't find exactly where/how to do that. My brother tried to ski home one day, and got lost, so we decided to just drive down to the base each morning. All-in-all, my family LOVED this cabin, and we would love to stay here again, if we return to Big Sky!

Bright and Beautiful!
This is a great home base for skiing. Great interior finish with lots of natural light and walkable to the ski hill, dinner, etc. It is quiet and very comfortable for 2 couples. Loved it!

AZ MT MN MI family reunion
We rented this cabin and another one nearby,,Amazing rental,,perfect for our needs,,,everything you could possibly need was included...the support staff,,,reservations etc. were extremely helpful...We made so many wonderful memories for our children and grandchildren,,,and parents...would definitely rent there again...so much to do even in the summer!!

Snow plus great accomodations = perfect vacation
Had fantastic snow (13"!) and made the most of Powder 126. Three families (12 people) easily shared the space, and we entertained another family for dinner to boot! We've rented a bunch of houses via VRBO, and I must say this one had a kitchen more fully stocked than any other we've seen; it seemed every "I wonder if they have a..." ended up with a positive find. The house was convenient enough that we trekked home for lunch each day, and everyone could hang up their skis for the day when they were ready: no trying to coordinate meeting/rides at the base. The only rub was the signage -- our first couple of attempts to get home were failures -- one or two more directional signs would have been so welcome. That said, once we figured it out, it was slick -- and there WAS a great hot tub at the other end!! The rental company was great, met us at the house and made sure we were settled in and could find things -- nice touch.

Great Ski In/Ski Out Cabin
Wow! That was everyone in our group of 11 reaction once we arrived at our cabin. Our group goes skiing a new place every year and this is by far the best accommodations we have ever had for a ski trip. The cabin is truly ski in/ski out. We had a few very beginner skiers in our group that had no trouble getting to or from the cabin. The snowboarders in our group are very good and they had no problem getting in or out of the cabin either. As far as the cabin its self we could not have been more satisfied. The bedrooms were very large and the bathrooms were very nice and had shampoo, conditioner, & body wash dispensers in each shower. Each bedroom had a small fan and a humidifier that really came in handy. The kitchen was fully stocked. However, i did notice as a previous reviewer did that there were no small spoons, however it had no impact on our trip. The private hot tub was amazing. After clearing out a little snow we had a beautiful view of the mountains each afternoon while relaxing after a long day of skiing. Big Sky Vacation Rentals (bookbigsky.com) was great to work with. We order groceries from The Hungry Moose and they worked with BSVR to ensure they were delivered before our arrival. Upon arrival a representative from BSVR met us at the cabin and went over everything about the cabin and answered all our questions. This was by far the big ski trip we have ever taken and the cabin was a large part of it. We really could not have been any happier and we'll probably be back next year.

Incredible Experience!
My fiance and I stayed at this cabin during the summer of 2009. This was my favorite vacation ever. It's hard to describe the best part. The Big Sky area where this cabin is located is simply beautiful beyond description. The cabin was phenomenal as well. It was well maintained with all the amenities you could ask for. Everything in it seemed in near pristine condition. Hot tub in the evenings after hiking all day was a real plus! My only complaint was leaving the place. I would love to go back the first chance we get. I highly recommend this cabin and vacationing in Big Sky.

Not cheap, but worth every penny!
I got back from Montana late last night and what a fantastic week we had!! The snow was fantastic all week. The fresh 10 inches Sunday night made Monday one of my best days skiing ever! We got another 5 inches or so Tuesday night. Loved Dakota Bowl and we spent a lot of time on the Challenger lift area. We skied one day at Moonlight Basin which was also very nice. There was so much snow on the mountain (and the cold kept it light) that the conditions were really excellent all week. The scenery was fantastic. Amazing mountain panaromas - truly majestic. The house was perfect! The 10 of us had plenty of room to spread out, to eat together, and to relax. The hot tub saved my aging back and the iPod speaker system came in very handy. The kitchen was great – we went out for dinner once (Blue Moon Bakery had excellent pizza) but cooked in every other night (shop in Bozeman on the way in). We used the fire place a lot – very pleasant. We enjoyed the movie selection in the main room. It was such a treat to be able to enjoy the mornings, then simply step outside and put on our skies and away! We came home for lunch some days and ate in the café a few times too. Yeti Dogs was a big hit with the teenagers. In the afternoons after that last turn we just step out of our skiies, set them against the wall and stepped into the house! It was wonderfully convenient! Everyone had a great time – honestly one of the best vacations any of us has had in a long time.

WE FELT RIGHT AT HOME
Just home from a glorious 3 nights at your marvelous cabin at Big Sky. We truly got attached - what a special, special place you have. We own a log and timber frame business and had a real appreciation for the structure and beauty of your home. LOVED the floor plan, which made it so easy for all of us to have individual space yet come together for dinner and evenings by the fireplace. The interior decorating, I simply adored - comfy yet classy and made you feel right at home. We particularly appreciated how clean and put together it all was. To top it off, the convenience of the ski in/ ski out can not be surpassed. Thank you so very much for allowing us this opportunity and for providing such a welcoming and comfortable setting for our mini-vacation. We will be looking for an excuse to come back.

A HOUSE FOR ALL SEASONS
We came once to this house 4 years ago and have been back every year. Great location to ski in ski out. Comfortable and spacious rooms with great bathrooms. Enjoy great vista views from the deck and hot tub areas of nearby spanish peaks. The property is well maintained and clean every time we come. Great location for summer, fall and winter fun. The house is close to all outdoor activities and town, but still remote enough to feel like you are away from it all.

Where Else Would We Stay . . .
. . . to ski on my Favorite Trail in the World: "Shedhorn" (and the many other great Big Sky / Moonlight Basin ski experiences) !!! We have had a couple of tremendous trips to Big Sky! A very big part of both trips has been our stay at this B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L private home. Location: Awesome - Cross the carport, snap on your skis and drop in right into the neighborhood chairlift that gets you in the Heart of it All! Home: Tremendous - Very well thought out floor-plan with luxury appointments throughout. Absorbs families / up to four couples EASILY. Favorites include the post ski hot tub after the tremendous evening fun in the Great Room. (What it the name of that huge Moose head above the fireplace!?!) Love Big Sky. Great place to experience it from. We hope to be back real soon!

Perfect Family Retreat
My family and 2 other families stayed in this beautiful home with a spectacular view. The house itself was amazing and spacious. It was very clean and the sleeping arrangements for 12 were more then comfortable. The beds were huge. The place is nicer than the photos depict. There were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, spices for cooking. The kids were able to play games downstairs while the adults were on the main floor enjoying each others company. We loved going to the hot tub after a long day of skiing and enjoying a cocktail. The location was great. We were able to ski in and out with our kids. We also enjoyed eating at Milkies Pizza, The corrall and Bucks T4. We also went to Yellow Stone for an easy day trip where we snow shoed around. You have to have a 4 wheel drive car/truck for all of Big Sky in the winter. We had a few questions for the owner and they got right back to us. I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends. Thank you for your hospitality. I hope to be back soon!

Family Fun
We had an amazing time at this house. The ski in and out was a very convenient feature. The hot tub was great to have at the end of a long skiing day. The house had amazing views and was comfortable with plenty of room. We will definitely go back.
