Conveniently located near the foot of the Bear Back Poma Lift, Black Eagle Lodge offers superb ski access suitable for all levels of skiers. Bear Back Poma anticipated open date is early December, but is dependent on snow conditions. The property is not ski-in/out until the Poma opens.
Ski Out:
Step out the garage, go left to connect to the Bear Back Poma. At the top of the Poma you will ski a groomed access run to Ramcharger and Swift Current in the base area.
Ski In:
Intermediate and Expert can ski Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Follow the Poma down, but don't go all the way to the bottom. You will see ski tracks to the left where people have cut to the left and back towards the units. This will make it easier to get closer to the garage of the unit. Beginners should ski to the Summit Hotel and then ski or walk the road back to the Black Eagle Lodge.
Note: During periods of melting you may need to walk approximately 70 yards to the Poma Lift.

The only thing I can say to help a future traveler is that the big sky ski resort is not a walking town per se we had visited places in Colorado before this and it’s mostly a walking town so definitely get a car. we ubered and were stuck with the bus. We really enjoyed our stay here. We were there during the summer, so it was extremely quiet and peaceful. It appears incredibly convenient to the lifts and lodge during ski season.
The condo itself was well laid out and had plenty of space. As Advertised
The property was exactly as put forward. Kitchen is well stocked w/ all you need to cook. It did not have an iron but we bought one and left it....still needs an ironing board. Shuffle board is alot of fun. Perfect grill and hot tub. I have allergies to animals and could not sit on the sofa or chairs w/o major reaction so I think this should be put forward or furniture deep cleaned. We used the TV as our music speaker which works fine, but would be nice to have a seperate sound system at this price point. Lastly, the patio furniture is perfectly functional but someone should clean this before each stay.
