Step back in time with Chief Joseph Rustic Log Home, nestled in the rolling hills of Big Sky. A mere 15-minute drive to Big Sky Resort, the home offers a blend of rustic charm, thoughtful design, and secluded mountain magic. Spread over two levels, this four-bedroom, stand-alone home boasts large cedar log beam supports, cozy furnishings, modern amenities, and a spacious layout that offers several areas for your group to spread out.
As you enter the cabin, prepare to be transported to a simpler time when log cabins were king, and the only sounds were those of the great outdoors. The living area features an open floor plan with plush sofas and a grand fireplace to warm your spirits. A game table with window seating and a piano for guests to entertain themselves offers great fun, while a large flat screen TV is nearby for watching the big game.
Imagine stepping onto the porch with your morning cup of coffee or evening drink, and taking in the breathtaking views that showcase some of the best vistas in the area.
Looking for more outdoor space? Head to the deck, you’ll find a private grill and enjoyable patio furniture, fire pit, and a charming hammock, perfect for a morning cup of coffee or dining al fresco.
Hungry? Head to the kitchen & dining area. The kitchen boasts a gas stove, stainless steel appliances, and plenty of counter space that provide plenty of room for the chef in your group. The dining area has a large table with seating for up to eight and seating at the breakfast bar with room for three more. Additionally, there is also a breakfast nook with seating for four more for overflow seating on the screened-in porch.
When you're ready to rest easy, head to one of the four bedrooms. The main level Primary King Suite has everything you need including a walk-in closet and attached ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. Also on this level, find the Twin bedroom with two Twin beds and shares a full bathroom with hallway access. Head on your way upstairs and find a small office space and reading nook, perfect for remote work or cozying up with a good book. Once upstairs, find the board game nook, perfect for a fun & competitive game of monopoly! The upstairs area also boasts two more bedrooms, one featuring King & Twin beds and the other hosting a Twin/Twin bunk bed and full bed. Both bedrooms feature sweeping mountain views. The upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower accessed through the shared hallway. This home provides incredibly easy access to over 50 miles of professionally groomed Nordic ski trails. Put your cross country skis on right at the house and explore a seemingly endless system of groomed trails through the Big sky Golf course, into the serene woods of Big Sky and on to the Lone Mountain Ranch. If you are a fan of cross country skiing this home is the perfect basecamp.
This home is not ski accessible, but free parking is offered at Big Sky Resort. Free skier parking is less than 5 minutes away and there is a shuttle that will take you to the base area.

Home away from home
This property is like a time capsule of a classic log home. I felt like I was sitting in a Norman Rockwell painting. The main living area is warm and inviting. The decorations throughout the home reminded me of my childhood. The location is close to town and the drive to the ski resort is easy. No better place for a family
We spent one week at this perfectly appointed log cabin joining our two daughters, their husbands and our grandchildren. It was very comfortable and lacked nothing for cooking, socializing, sleeping, and location. The front porch view reveals the village below with mountain views in nearly all directions. Great Views

Family Get Away
My family spent a week at this charming and beautiful mountain cabin. We could not have asked for a more comfortable, cozy and inviting vacation home to celebrate being together. There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy all the different views and perspectives. Convenient and easy walking distance to town and hiking trails. We felt at home the minute we walked in. Fantastic! The place was extremely cozy and comfortable, definitely has the charm of a mountain cabin. Short drive to the village and an even shorter drive (walkable) to town. MDW Chief Joseph Log Home
Our family getaway in Chief Joseph cabin was outstanding. The cabin home was a beautifully appointed mountain cabin. The minute you walked in you felt welcomed and comfortable. Cabin location provided beautiful views and easy access to town and hiking trails. Highly recommend staying at the Chief Joseph cabin home.

Chief Joseph Rustic Log Home
No issues, very easy to get to and from with no difficulties. Very clean and provided great areas for cooking and gathering. The large dining table was perfect for games and our large group meals. Group Gathering
We had our annual college alumni ski gathering here. This place was amazing, very easy access to the mountain and were able to relax after spending the day on the slopes. The cabin is very clean and well maintained. The large dining room table was great for playing games as well as enjoying large group meals.
