Accommodating up to 10 guests, this three bedroom, four and a half bathroom stand alone home is the ideal choice for your next mountain retreat.
Step inside to discover the rich and warm interior main level. The living area boasts cozy furnishings, tall windows, a stone fireplace, and a flat screen TV. The fully equipped kitchen is a chef's dream with stainless steel appliances and tons of counter space, the perfect spot to whip up dinner. The adjacent dining area hosts seating for up to six with room for three more at the breakfast bar. Step outside onto the spacious wrap around deck, featuring a gas grill, outdoor seating, and unbeatable views.
Ready to rest easy? Head to one of the three spacious suites or up to the private loft area. The Primary King Suite can be found on the main level and features a private deck with outdoor seating, gas fireplace, and attached ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub. Head downstairs and find the two Queen Suites, both with their own attached ensuite bathrooms with stand up showers. Or for a little more privacy, head up to the loft and find the Twin Suite hosting two Twin beds & an attached ensuite bathroom. There is also a Queen sleeper sofa for overflow sleeping.

Ski Access is king at the Moonlight Mountain Homes, with direct ski-in/ski-out access to Moonlight Basin and Big Sky Resort. Access lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze.
Ski Out:
Ski down driveway and cross the road. Ski between the houses below you onto the Bootlegger access trail. Follow this to the turn-off for Alpine Meadows to get to the Madison Base or stay on this access to ski to Ironhorse Lift and the Moonlight Lodge.

Ski In:
From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter lift, follow signs for Powder River. Ski through the concrete tunnel and PAST the first skier bridge on your right. Take a hard right turn on Natawista which is the first right after the bridge. Follow this access over two skier bridges. DO NOT turn left off the main path. It will transition to Bootlegger which will bring you back to the bottom of the access you skied down in the morning. You can walk up the access and back to the driveway of your home.
Please note that if snow is melted off road you will need to walk across the street both going in and coming out to get to the ski access or house (Green access).

Everything was amazing. Probably the best mountain I have skied. And the house was fantastic. The only recommendation I have would be to include pics/trail maps on how to navigate the ski-in/ski-out. The house was fantastic. Spacious, clean, fabulous views, great location. The deck though was covered in ice when we arrived, the balcony was snowed in, and the driveway had a lot of compacted snow that caused one of our cars to get deeply stuck. Moonlight Mountain Home 4 Shadow Ridge
Property Manager: Very kind and knowledgeable staff added to the overall great experience. Property: Our family of four were joined by my in-laws and had a fabulous vacation. The resort is close enough to Yellowstone for day trips, and easy access to/from Bozeman. Our kids entered the property and ran through all the rooms screaming with delight. It was perfect for the six of us. The furniture is excellent and tastefully decorated with Western themes as seen in the photos. The bedrooms are large and spacious, each with its own outstanding bathroom and shower. The views are incredible, and you cant beat the hot tub on the deck overlooking the Northern Rockies. The wood fireplace in the Living Area was cozy with plenty of firewood, and the gas fireplace in the Master kept us warm on a chilly June night. Great Home. Only slight issue is the 10 minute drive up and back to the property, be prepared, it is deep into the resort. Wasn't a terrible issue for our 5 night stay. I'd like to own this place. That was my impression. It was clean and complete. Heating is radiant, so the home is quiet at night. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook our meals (even a garlic press). The hot tub was clean, with a water change log on the wall nearby. We brought our own laundry detergent, paper towels, tp, shampoo, and soap, but it was all provided. 4 1/2 baths also really helped. We thought that ski in/ski out would be a little tricky based on the instructions, but it was pretty easy. Everything we were hoping it would be.
"I'd like to own this place." That was my impression. It was clean and complete. Heating is radiant, so the home is quiet at night. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook our meals (even a garlic press). The hot tub was clean, with a water change log on the wall nearby. We brought our own laundry detergent, paper towels, tp, shampoo, and soap, but it was all provided. 4 1/2 baths also really helped. We thought that ski in/ski out would be a little tricky based on the instructions, but it was pretty easy. Your goal outbound is to ski straight across (don't randomly ski down) until you hit Ironhorse. Overall, this place was fantastic.
